SUPREME COURT CERTIFIED CIVIL TRIAL ATTORNEYS

Only about one out of fifty New Jersey lawyers have been certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Lawyer.  This special designation by the Supreme Court is limited to lawyers who have demonstrated 1) substantial involvement in trial matters in Superior Court; 2) an unblemished reputation as attested to by judges and lawyers; and 3) substantial knowledge and continuing legal education shown by passing a special written examination on trial practice.

This rare credential is held by both Don DiGioia and Jim Hely, and it was held by Jac B. Weiseman up to his death.

OUR MARTINDALE-HUBBELL AV RATING

For more than 100 years, the firm of Martindale-Hubbell has independently evaluated lawyers and law firms for competence and ethics.  Based upon Martindale-Hubbell's independent rating system, our law firm, and both of its principals, have for many years enjoyed their AV rating.  This is the highest accolade that Martindale-Hubbell grants in its nationally published law directory.  Martindale-Hubbell also operates the website Lawyer.com, and reference to Weiseman Hely DiGioia, P.A. and its individual members may be found at that website.  In addition, from its inception in 2002 to the present, our law firm has been listed in Martindale-Hubbell’s Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.

Based upon this AV rating, and our listing in the Bar Register, our firm frequently is referred cases by attorneys from around the State of New Jersey and across the nation.  Both Don DiGioia and Jim Hely attained the AV rating individually, as had Jac B. Weiseman.

NEW JERSEY RECOGNIZED LAWYERS

The journal, Law and Politics, conducted an extensive survey of New Jersey attorneys to identify a special group the journal would designate as recognized lawyers. The survey was sent to more than 35,000 attorneys.  From the responses, a Blue Ribbon Panel comprised of top vote getters was named.

The recognized lawyers survey results were published in the May, 2005 issue of  New Jersey Monthly.  There are more than 80,000 attorneys in New Jersey.

Don DiGioia and Jim Hely were both named in New Jersey Monthly as Super Lawyers.  Both Don’s and Jim’s vote totals were such that they were designated as Blue Ribbon Panelists.  Don’s vote total was in the top 100 of all New Jersey lawyers.  Jim was one of only six lawyers selected in the field of personal injury - product safety.
