In 2003, the New Jersey Law Journal Book published the single volume that is fast becoming the bible for New Jersey lawyers handling injury cases. The book, New Jersey Law Of Personal Injury, was written by Jim Hely. Around the state, lawyers and judges are using the book as the reliable reference text in the fields of auto and truck negligence, medical malpractice, premises safety, product safety, construction and work place safety, and all the other areas that make up personal injury law.
The book took several years to research and write and is based upon the half century of trial experience that Don DiGioia and Jim Hely have accumulated.
This is Hely's second book for New Jersey lawyers. In 1998, The New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJ ICLE) published Jim Hely and Jac Weiseman's book, Trustworthiness: A Trial Strategy Manual For the Plaintiff Injury Case in New Jersey. This book on trial technique continues to be popular among experienced and newer lawyers attempting to improve their abilities in representing injured citizens.
Don DiGioia is also an author, having participated in the manual, New Jersey Trial and Evidence, (NJ ICLE, 2002). Don co-wrote the chapter on evaluating the relevance of particular evidence, and he has also written articles which have been published in legal newspapers and manuals.
