Throughout his career Mr. DiGioia has received numerous awards of recognition. In 2004 he received the Professional Lawyer of the Year Award from the Union County Bar Association and the Commission on Professionalism in the Law. He received a Professional Lawyer of the Year Award again in 2010 from the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey and the Commission on Professionalism in the Law. Only a handful of attorneys in New Jersey history have received that award twice.

Mr. DiGioia has been listed in various professional directories, including the 2015 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. This publication is considered to be the premier listing of attorneys in the United States. In order to be included in the book there is a careful review and screening process by professional peers. Mr. DiGioia has also been named in New Jersey Monthly Magazine to Super Lawyers each year from its inception in 2005 to the present, and he has also been named to the list of the Top 100 Lawyers in New Jersey.

Mr. DiGioia has been recognized as a leader of bar activities for many years. After serving on the District XII Ethics Committee he was named Chairman in 1997-98. A Master of the Richard J. Hughes American Inn of Court, Mr. DiGioia served as President of that organization from 2003-2005. A leading member of the criminal defense bar for decades, Mr. DiGioia served as President of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey in 2009-2010, and he remains active in that organization at present. He is currently serving on the Supreme Court Criminal Practice Committee. Mr. DiGioia also achieved a recovery in excess of one million dollars on behalf of a client in a personal injury claim, and therefore he was admitted into the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates’ Forum.
